| What we do |
Active Dorset will through partnership be working specifically to a number of the objectives outlined in the Bournemouth Community Plan. Active Dorset is about changing how people live, this requires a multi-faceted approach and input and involvement of all stakeholders. Contributing to Bournemouth (as well as Poole and Dorset County) will include directly supporting new and existing initiatives encouraging greater participation in activity. Influencing policy of key agencies on the relative importance of supporting active living and discussing, deciding and delivering with partners and stakeholders new ways of getting and keeping Bournemouth active.
|
| Contribution to Partnership | Active Dorset's role is to support and promote the development and provision of opportunities to participate in sport, physical activity and to lead an active lifestyle. As a county sports partnership supported by Sport England our focus is on participation – more people, more active, more option. Our approach is based on partnership and the involvement of stakeholders. We operate on the principle that to maximise success we must be accessible and open. This we do through www.activedorset.org |
