What we do	We will contribute by: • Eradicating housing need for older people in Bournemouth • Improving the environment with well insulated modern buildings enhancing the street scene and minimising emission • Reduce the fear of crime and promote a sense of community and security • Enable older people to remain in their own homes for as long as possible with appropriate support • Alleviate loneliness • Work with our partners to achieve what the older people of Bournemouth want • Promote positive images of older people
Contribution to Partnership	Bournemouth Housing Society for the elderly was founded in 1946 by the Mayor of Bournemouth, to provide housing and support to the older people of Bournemouth in need. That founding ethos is still evident in the work we do today. We are a ‘ not for profit’ Housing Society and we own eight high quality yet affordable blocks of flats, all with additional facilities, social events and support offices on site plus out of hours emergency alarm, linked to Bournemouth Borough Council’s BLEEP system.
