What we do	The BICB Partnership will research and identify organisations whose event requirements are matched by those facilities/venues offered within Bournemouth's conurbation. The BICB will produce Bournemouth's main marketing/promotional brochures from which a series of sales/marketing and public relations activities are carried out in order to meet community plan objectives and, more specifically "Action Plan" targets as defined within the BIC/Pavilion Business Plan. These activities and their results will provide positive economic impact to the town through attracting increased Conference events and delegate numbers to Bournemouth, which in turn will lead to an increase in the number of FTE jobs sustained by Business Tourism.
Contribution to Partnership	The Bournemouth International Conference Bureau was started in January 2003. It is a marketing partnership between the Council's Bournemouth International Centre/Pavilion and over 70 hotels, venues, accommodation providers and service suppliers within the Bournemouth conurbation. The aim is to promote Bournemouths' meeting/conference and event facilities to the "Business Tourism" sector, ensuring that Bournemouth maintains its position as a leading destination in the UK for Conference Business. The BICB Management Board meets every 2-months (usually the week prior to the Bournemouth Tourism Action Group meetings).
