What we do	Our Lions Club offers a youth award to a young person from the area who has shown outstanding contribution to the town in a social or charitable project. We also have packs which can be donated to schools to assist with teaching social skills. Our fundraising in itself brings together members of the community socially and we would hope that the Bournemouth Partnership would help us to direct funds or time to the most pressing causes in the area. Our members are willing to listen and act to help with issues beneficial to the community of Bournemouth.
Contribution to Partnership	The Bournemouth Lions Club is a small group of people (18 members) and part of an international organisation committed to helping people locally, nationally and internationally by identifying genuine courses i.e. medical needs, youth needs, elderly courses, educational issues etc and funding ways to assist by giving time, raising funds and offering help as appropriate. We have helped the Jigsaw appeal, Youth Cancer Trust, Taking mums and children from the women’s refuge to Paultens Park helping to buy a vehicle for a young disabled boy. Funds are usually raised through organising social events.
