What we do	Coastal Credit Union can help “ tackle the issues that lead to poverty and social exclusion” by giving access to financial services to those who are often excluded from mainstream services (banks & building societies) and who may otherwise turn to high –interest lenders for credit we believe we can also strengthen our economy keeps local money circulating within the community, with no profits being paid to outside shareholders.
Contribution to Partnership	Coastal is a mutual society offering basic financial services to anyone who lives or works in the BH postcode area. We offer basic savings accounts, low cost loans and access to other services such as insurance. It is owned and run by its members. Our members save regularly and these savings are pooled to form a fund to make loans to other members. The income generated from loans is used to meet running costs, with any surplus being distributed back to members.
