What we do	Crimestoppers wish to help the residents of Bournemouth to assist the police in detecting crime and making the streets safer. We are a proactive charity who have very low overheads. Every year Crimestoppers choose projects which will have an effect on people’s lives. This year we are tackling drug dealing and doorstep crime where the elderly are targeted.
Contribution to Partnership	Dorset Crimestoppers is part of a national charity dedicated to the solving of crime and bringing to justice offenders. Crimestoppers also have a preventative role and run projects in the community to reduce crime. (An example would be our latest campaign to protect the elderly from doorstep con men). We give talks to schools and colleges and encourage young people to act responsibly. Crimestoppers have a hot line (0800 555111) where the public can give information about crime and remain anonymous.
