What we do	With Fire Crews attending significantly more incidents each year a pro-active approach to fire awareness, domestic safety and a reduction in the number of hoax and automatic fire alarm calls has been adopted locally. This pro-active approach is being spearheaded by the Community Fire Safety team here in Bournemouth. The initiatives are many and varied, from internal strategies and reports to supporting national advertising campaigns, assisting with the development of educational programmes and visits, supporting youth groups including the acclaimed FIRE CADETS, to the partnership approach with Streetwise - the REGIONAL interactive Safety Centre for all ages.
Contribution to Partnership	The statutory duty of the Fire Authority within the Community is to protect life and property by effectively extinguishing uncontrolled occurrence of fire.
