What we do	Any contribution which can be derived from the activities outlined in the organisation's role and work in Bournemouth.
Contribution to Partnership	The primary role of the Probation Service is to protect the public by reducing re-offending by those under its supervision. It aims to enable offenders to lead more fulfilling and law-abiding lives. To these ends it:- - advises courts in Bournemouth about sentencing of offenders - supervises men and women subject to court orders and on release from prison - provides unpaid community service work by offenders - manages 24 hour, intensive residential facilities for men convicted of more serious crimes - contributes to the work of the Youth Offending Team and Crime and Disorder Partnership.
