What we do	RIAS actively encourages and supports its employees to make a difference to the communities in which they live and work. As part of this process RIAS has a community relations committee tasked with delivering this strategy. RIAS supports the Alzheimer’s Society making regular donations from monthly collections held at the RIAS offices. In addition, RIAS is supporting the Wessex Autistic Society and their Domino appeal, supports a local special needs school and recently arranged for one of their classes to attend a Poole RIAS Pirates speedway meeting. We have also provided funds for the Bournemouth Society for the Visually impaired and are developing schemes to facilitate our employees becoming more involved in the community. We are committed to working with members of the Bournemouth Partnership to deliver the targets outlined in the Community Plan.
Contribution to Partnership	RIAS is Britain's fastest-growing specialist provider of insurance for the over 50s age group. RIAS negotiates exclusive rates and cover with a panel of insurers to secure competitive, value for money products for its customers. Over the last two years the company has enjoyed over 35% year-on-year growth. It now has over 700,000 customers and employs just over 1,000 people across two locations - Bournemouth and Belfast. The RIAS head office is based in Bournemouth, employing over 800 people from the local area. This number is set to rise as the company continues to experience rapid growth and success.
