Website User Agreement

User Agreement for  Bournemouth 2026 web portal

You may not use our sites and services if you have not been authorised by the Bournemouth 2026 office, or if your authorisation has been suspended.
While using this web portal, you will not:

• post, list or upload content or items in an inappropriate site sections on our site or areas on our site;
• breach any laws, or otherwise infringe the copyright, trade mark or other rights of third parties;
• post false, inaccurate, misleading, defamatory, or libellous content (including personal information);

Never use materials that infringe the copyright of others. This could create legal liabilities and seriously hurt the web portal.  If in doubt write, it yourself.  However it is not necessary to obtain the permission of a copyright holder before linking to copyrighted material.

Abusing the web portal

Bournemouth 2026 partners work together to keep our site working properly and the community safe. Please report problems, offensive content and policy breaches to us.
Without limiting other remedies, we may issue you with warnings, limit, suspend, or terminate your user accounts, restrict or prohibit access to, and your activities on, the sites, delay or remove hosted content, and take technical and legal steps to keep you off our sites if:

• we think that you are creating problems or exposing us or another user to financial loss or legal liabilities;
• we think that you are acting inconsistently with the letter or spirit of this agreement or our policies;
• despite our reasonable endeavours, we are unable to verify or authenticate any information you provide to us
• If users repeatedly post copyrighted  despite appropriate warnings
• You are using the web portal purely for commercial gain rather than meeting the aims/values of Bournemouth 2026.

We also reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed accounts or accounts that have been inactive for a long time.

Contributing to Bournemouth 2026

It is important to realise that in contributing to the web portal users are expected to be cival neutral and non political points of view and adhere to values of the the partnership (vandals are reported via ‘contact us’ and may be blocked from editing).

Image guidelines

Images and photographs, like written works, are subject to copyright. Someone holds the copyright unless they have been explicitly placed in the public domain.  Images on the internet need to be licensed directly from the copyright holder or someone able to license on their behalf. In some cases fair use guidelines may allow an image to be used irrespective of any copyright claims.

Content

When you give us content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free, sub licensable (through multiple tiers) right to exercise the copyright, publicity, trade marks, database rights and intellectual property rights you have in the content, in any media known now or in the future. In addition, you waive all moral rights you have in the content to the fullest extent permitted by law.

This Agreement sets forth the entire understanding and agreement between us with respect to the subject matter hereof.
