Boscombe Area Businesses Against Crime
A Proactive Business Crime Reduction Partnership Solution for the Bournemouth East Area
The aim of the Partnership is to reduce business crime in Bournemouth East to make it a safer place to work, shop and visit.
BABAC helps to reduce business crime by identifying and tackling offenders whose behaviour frequently affects businesses, staff and shoppers. Specifically BABAC targets shoplifting and theft from other premises: credit and cheque fraud; street crime and anti-social behaviour. BABAC works with a range of partners such as the police, magistrates, the media, Bournemouth Borough Council and businesses in Boscombe to make it difficult for criminals to operate in the area by means of deterrence, detection and detention. BABAC also supports a range of sanctions for offenders including exclusion notices. • Reduction in losses and theft Find out more about the scheme and how to get involved by emailing babacboard@gmail.com for an information pack.
