Bournemouth Landlord Conference is Back for a Third Year

More than 500 landlords from all over Dorset are expected to attend the Council’s free Landlord Conference this year to gain valuable advice and information on every aspect of letting a property.

The annual event, sponsored by the National Landlords’ Association will take place at AFC Bournemouth, Kings Park on Friday 8 October 2010 between 11am and 6pm.

Landlords are invited to drop in throughout the day to hear from a variety of organisations that will be on hand to offer advice on landlord issues such as fire safety, support for rent arrears, legal advice and benefits as well as information on funding and how to bring empty homes back in to use. Local landlords will also be able to find out more about the Council’s new tenant finding service for private landlords.

Councillor Peter Charon, Council Leader said: “The landlord conference is the largest of its kind in Dorset and is a fantastic opportunity for local landlords to come together to share best practice and also keep up to speed with the latest legislation and advice on letting a home.”

He added: “Last year’s conference proved to be a great success attracting more than 400 people and we are pleased to be able to offer the event again this year to provide vital information to landlords and ensure that we continue to improve housing for the thousands of people who rent in Bournemouth.”
