Bournemouth 2026 is committed to 'working together for a better future'.
It is expected that partners will increasingly take into account the vision in setting their objectives, priorities and in allocating resources. We are committed to finding new ways of pooling resources and ensuring that the thrid sector plays an integral part of the delivery of this strategy.

This vision document sets out an ambitious list of goals to be met within the next 4 years. The detail of the indicators and the activities to achieve them will be set out in an action plan which will be accessible to all partners through the Bournemouth 2026 website.
Working with and through the community in their neighbourhoods
This is a particular feature of the approach being adopted in Bournemouth. Recognising that the outcomes we desire for people are often part of a web of interactions at a community level, we have agreed to work together with and through communities in neighbourhoods. This has already had a profound effect on our plans:
Through this joined up approach to working, which we are trialling in North Kinson Ward, we hope to bring about greater involvement of local people in the design and delivery of local services. The approach is being led through the Strategic Delivery Partnership for neighbourhood working.
Working across Bournemouth where needs are not met through neighbourhood working
This follows more traditional approaches to the delivery of services. The services will be managed by Strategic Delivery Partnerships working in harmony to achieve better outcomes. The arrangements will differ for each outcome. In order for delivery method 2 to continue to benefit from partnership working the Strategic Delivery Partnerships leading on these outcomes will look for opportunities for joined up working where possible.
Working across the South East Dorset conurbation towards a long term vision for Bournemouth and the sub-region
Delivery method 3 aims to benefit from partnership working with Poole, East Dorset and the conurbation especially through the use of Multi Area Agreements and cross Borough work. Bournemouth 2026 will look for opportunities to benefit the people of the area as a whole and be established in agreement with Poole.
