- Best Value Performance Indicator Plan
The Best Value Performance Plan is a statutory document. It is a summary of the Council’s performance on best value performance indicators (national indicators set by government) during the past year and includes targets for improvement during the next three years

- Citizenship
The rights, privileges, and duties of a citizen
- Compact
The Compact is a set of principles within which the statutory, voluntary and community sector agree to work
- Competitiveness
The ability to succeed against rivals in a common goal

- Deprivation
Refers to the Government Indices of Deprivation 2004 which calculates deprivation in the following 7 key areas:
- Income Deprivation;
- Employment Deprivation;
- Health Deprivation and Disability;
- Education, Skills and Training Deprivation;
- Barriers to Housing and Services;
- Living Environment Deprivation; and
- Crime.

A measure of income and output in economic terms used to estimate value of goods and services in an economy

Individuals in different generations or age categories

- LAA (Local Area Agreement)
A Local Area Agreement is a three year agreement that sets out the priorities for a local area agreed between central government, represented by the Government Office, and a local area, represented by local authorities, local strategic partnerships, and other key partners at local level. The primary objective of an LAA is to deliver better outcomes for local people

All services provided by the local authority, primary health trust, fire service, police etc eg: Libraries, doctors, advice services, leisure facilities
