About this Consultation

The Licensing Act 2003 requires the local authority to prepare and publish a statement of it's licensing policy every three years. The policy must be kept under review and the licensing authority must make such revisions as it considers appropriate.

Bournemouth Borough Council commenced it's full consultation process on it's three yearly review of the Statement of Licensing Policy on 17 January 2011. All comments had to be submitted before 14th February 2011.

All responses received in respect of this consultation were considered carefully by the Licensing (Act 2003) Board before being submitted to Full Council for approval. The new policy was approved on 3 March and will take effect from 15 April 2011.

The new Statement of Licensing Policy can be viewed on the council's webiste from 15 April 2011.
