About this Consultation

This consultation was carried out to inform the public of proposed changes to seafront dog restrictions and provide them with an opportunity to comment on the proposal prior to presenting the proposal to Cabinet and Full Council for adoption.

The consultation does not seek to relax the existing seafront dog restrictions or to impose unjustifiable or unenforceable new restrictions.

This issue will affect coastal wards in particular, but also all wards in the borough, given the ease of access for residents to the seafront.

For further information go to the Seafront pages on the Bournemouth Borough Council website.
