About this Consultation

Bournemouth Borough Council has resolved to adopt the amendment to Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 by Section 27 of the Policing and Crime Act 2009, to allow the licensing of sexual entertainment venues.

These provisions will come into force on Tuesday 28th September 2010, and this day will be known as the first appointed day. The transitional period will last for 12 months and will begin on the first appointed day.

Bournemouth Borough Council consulted on the draft policy for sex establishments between 23rd July and 30 August 2010. This document can be found on the Council website.
