Change in Support Provision for Sustainable / Green Schools in Bournemouth

As a result of a change in government policy, the borough is no longer able to provide direct support for the Sustainable / Green Schools Initiatives.

However Eco - Schools support will still be available through Tricia Zimmerman (who was providing this for the borough) working as a ‘freelance’ teacher trading as

Environmental Learning Solutions Services offered:

• Teaching outdoor and environmental education lessons in school grounds. Single sessions or a package of sessions. PPA cover possible.
• Teaching sustainability lessons in school.
• Teaching and leading off site visits for schools to various locations.
• Consultancy for schools developing off site visits policies.
• Consultancy for the integration of outdoor, environmental and sustainability education in the curriculum.
• Advising schools on Eco Schools – practical measures to become an Eco school - how to integrate into the curriculum.
• Advising schools on development and use of School Grounds as social and learning resources.
• Training for staff on ‘leading off site visits’ – planning and safety management.
