About this Consultation

Members of the public can attend most Council meetings, ask questions or make deputations, or just observe.  However, we know that for many, attending meetings at the Town Hall or elsewhere is not convenient or possible.  So we are considering streaming our meetings via a webcasting system.

This survey aimed to gather residents' views, taking in to account cost implications and an example from a council already streaming council meetings.

Results

77% of respondents said that they would watch council meetings online if they were available.

The full results can be downloaded below.  The data has been weighted by age and 'don't know' responses have been removed.
